I am very excited to be writing this article today, it may even be my favourite one I’ve written yet. Why? Because I get to shout out about our AWARD WINNING PARAPLANNING TEAM!
That’s right, we have the best paraplanning team in the country, and we’re going to tell everyone about it.
Last month Tom, Zoe SK, Claire and Ellis made their way to London after being shortlisted for the Professional Paraplanning awards in the Best Paraplanning Team category. Unfortunately, Dan couldn’t make it, but he was very much there in spirit and held the fort brilliantly.
They made their way to Merchant Taylor Hall and were greeted with a drinks reception. After a lovely lunch of bruschetta, lamb or mushrooms and cheesecake, the awards began!
Back at the office, we had seen pictures of our team looking dressed up and were waiting anxiously for any news as the ceremony unfolded. We were on edge!
And then the best thing happened: Jacksons’ fantastic paraplanning team won Best Paraplanning Team. I’m getting goosebumps just writing about it.
When announcing the award, the host said this about our team:
“The winner of this award are a team who showed true togetherness, doing right by their clients, and thinking about all cases as individual people. They are immensely supportive of each other and ensure that everyone develops in a way that is right for them and they are a team that clearly enjoys and has fun in what they do.”
The host perfectly encapsulated how amazing our team are. Not only do they have an incredible technical knowledge and work with our advisers to get the best results for our clients, but they have fun whilst they do it. They live and breathe paraplanning and are an integral part of Jacksons’ growth – incredibly, we didn’t even have a paraplanning team four years ago!
Back in Cornwall, we had a photo of the award sent to the team group chat and we erupted. There’s no other word for it! Despite being relatively quiet in the office that day, we all leapt out of our seats with joy for our team. It was the best feeling ever and I don’t think I can explain how it felt any better than that!
Tom, Zoe, Claire, Dan and Ellis, we are endlessly proud of you. You deserve to be recognised for the incredible work you do and we are so glad that the world knows just how amazing you are. We could not do what we do without you, you are an integral part of our team and family and we thank you for your constant drive, focus and sense of fun, not to mention the best team Gif game ever! Thank you for representing Jacksons so brilliantly, we love you all!
Here's what the paraplanners had to say:
“I'm very proud us PPs have been recognised for the incredible work we do with our clients. It's such a fulfilling career and Jacksons gives us the freedom to make it our own! The exciting part... we're just getting started!!”
Dan
“This award wasn't just for us, this was for the whole team at Jacksons. Every single person has contributed and I’m so proud of everyone.”
Zoe
“It feels truly incredible to be recognised for this award, and I could not be prouder of the team. For me, the greatest achievement is seeing how far we have come as a team. In my two years at Jacksons, I have watched the team reshape and grow, move to a pooled system, and this year see our role change dramatically. We are becoming more involved in the thinking, planning and shaping of advice, not just the report-writing at the end. The most exciting part is that we are only getting started!”
Tom
“It is such a great feeling to be acknowledged for the work that we do and it is so refreshing to work alongside other paraplanners who are constantly challenging the status quo and looking for ways to innovate within the role. While we were sitting at the awards ceremony and they started reading out the reasons why they had chosen the winning team, we all looked at each other because we genuinely felt it had to be us. We demonstrate true togetherness, always put our clients first, and are incredibly supportive of one another. It is especially rewarding to know that these qualities are visible to others as well. Ultimately, I am immensely proud of our team and everything we achieve together. Here's hoping we can make it two for two next year!”
Claire
And a note from Sharon...
Come onnnnn!!!!! 🏆
Honestly, I am wowed by this team every single day. They work relentlessly to improve both the client and team experience, constantly challenging the norm by bringing ideas, energy, fun and challenge to the table.
What a privilege it is to work with them, learn from them, and watch them grow. I'm excited to see what they do next!
Team of the Year. Could not be prouder.
