Though we’re financial planners, people are always our top priority. We want Jacksons to have a positive impact on each and every person we meet.
For our team, this means creating an environment in which they can thrive. It means fantastic mental health support, a leading maternity and paternity offering, and a real focus on personal growth and development. It also means working in a way that’s different, with flexible arrangements shaped by how individual team members work best. Many choose a combination of working from home and from our office (with an exciting move to a new and more sustainable hub-based workspace underway).
For Jacksons, this people-first approach is a natural win-win. When people are happy, healthy, and well supported, relationships grow, ideas flow, and everyone gives their best. We’ve seen for ourselves how this positive chain-reaction benefits our clients.
And because we’re always keen to go further, we’re at the beginning of a whole new journey: becoming B Corp certified. B Corp is a social and environmental movement that aims to use business as a force for good; championing companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. Certification is a lengthy process and we’ve still got a long way to go, but for us, it’s a big step in the right direction.
In 2023, we’re also transitioning to a new four-day working week; proven to increase productivity by giving teams a better work/life balance. From 1 May to 1 July, we’ll begin closing at 3pm on a Friday. From 1 July to 1 September, we’ll close at lunchtime, with team members working remotely in the morning. And finally, from 1 September, we’ll begin trialling closing on Friday, while remaining open from 8am to 6pm (which is more convenient for our clients who work 9am-5pm) from Monday to Thursday and maintaining an emergency contact on Fridays.
