Jacksons Christmas Party 2025

We had a blast at the Wren and Raven for our Christmas party!

We are still catching up on articles, so we are starting the new year off by looking back! Specifically, we want to reflect on our wonderful Jacksons Christmas party last month.

A new venue opened up in Penzance over the summer, so we were super excited to support them and host our 2025 Christmas party at The Wren and Raven. It is a beautiful, open plan restaurant and bar with gorgeous long, wooden tables throughout, which meant all of us could sit around one table comfortably! The food was incredible, the venue was beautifully decorated and we were presented with delicious cocktails on arrival. With a venue like that and a team as wonderful as ours, it is no surprise that we had such a brilliant time!

After such a bonkers year, we were all ready to party the night away and celebrate everyone’s hard work. Everyone looked fabulous, dressed in sparkles, velvet, tuxes and ‘party shirts’ -  just look at the photos! We scrub up well!

Tom arrived first, quickly followed by Pete and Kate. It was all calm until - as we like to call them - the ‘Camborne and Redruth lot’ arrived! Amy had hosted them in her newly renovated home, which meant that Sharon, Colleen, TC, Claire, Zoe SK, Jacob, H (all the way from Birmingham!) and Rhea bounced into the Wren and Raven with plenty of Christmas party energy! We very quickly heard some fun stories of their train journey in, including the fact that Rhea had somehow confused her lipgloss with her concealer and painted her lips white!

Paul J, Elliot, Tracey, Tegen, Pete and Carrie soon joined us, all looking fabulous too. Unfortunately, Zoe B, Demi, Mark and Paul W weren’t able to make it and were greatly missed, but we sent them many a ridiculous picture throughout the night to keep them involved. The lovely Dan couldn’t make it either, but given that he lives in Norfolk, we forgave him!

After enjoying the welcome cocktails - all we remember is that they had pear liqueur in - we sat down to starters of either beetroot salad, salmon or duck, but the piece de resistance was the incredible roast dinner! Platters of meat, potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were presented in the centre of the table, with dishes of every veg you can think of dotted along the table too. We all opened our crackers and kept our silly hats on for as long as we could, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. We finished off this incredible meal with either Christmas pudding, knickerbocker glory or crumble - what a set of options!

Despite feeling very full, we did have a little boogie with the two other groups that were celebrating their work party and a birthday party. We’ll be honest, the music was a bit unusual - even the Wren and Raven staff agreed – it had us hankering for the Christmas hits, but we still had a fabulous time.

We were all so grateful for the chance to let our hair down and celebrate the fantastic year we have had. It was wonderful to have the newest members, (Rhea, Zoe SK, Claire and Kate) celebrate with the team too. Designated drivers and very kind spouses and partners took us revellers home, coping very well with the continued laughter and celebrations. Pete and Kate walked over a mile home - which for Kate, in heels, felt like a very long way!

We are so thankful to work at Jacksons, where Sharon and Pete care so deeply about the team, giving us the space to work at the best of our ability, supporting and guiding us throughout, and organising fantastic events like this. Thank you both for giving us a wonderful night, we know how much it takes to organise - we are so appreciative!
