Pete Matthew

CEO

Pete became a part of Jacksons in 2005 as a self-employed adviser. But it was clear that the then-directors had their eye on him as their exit strategy, so he was invited to join the company as a co-owner in 2007.

In 2010 he started playing around with a video camera, and that project became Meaningful Money, one of the biggest personal finance podcasts in the UK and a YouTube channel to go with it.

It is clear when you are around Pete that he is absolutely dedicated to educating and inspiring people to find their inner financial planner! He puts energy and care into what he does with the team and clients, always challenging the norm, and trying to help break down barriers to financial planning.

Pete has that ability to draw you in and to make you listen. His simple and to-the-point approach is much-loved not only by the team but around the world.

Here’s Pete in his own words:

Do you have a hidden skill or talent that most people don’t know about?

I’m a pretty tidy drummer and can even maintain a 7/8 time signature.

Who is someone you admire, and why?

Barack Obama. He’s deeply human, not perfect, but did the hardest job in the world while maintaining his relationship with his wife and daughters.
